How We Work
Intensive Outpatient Program
The Eating Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is designed to provide comprehensive, structured treatment for individuals struggling with eating disorders. The program is intended to help participants move toward recovery while maintaining daily life responsibilities such as work, school, and family involvement.
Program components may include:
Individual therapy to address personal challenges, trauma, and recovery goals
Group therapy to develop coping skills, connection, and peer support
Nutrition counseling with a nutrition professional to restore balanced eating and support medical stabilization
Supportive meals with staff guidance to practice nourishment and reduce anxiety around food
Yoga and mindfulness practices to strengthen the mind-body connection and support regulation
Family or support sessions as clinically indicated to enhance the recovery environment
The IOP meets 3 days per week, for 3 hours per day. Each participant receives an individualized treatment plan tailored to their specific goals and recovery stage and will participate in individual therapy 1 hour per week.

Support for Supports (education and support group for family and friends)
Support for Supports is a VIRTUAL 90-minute education and support group for the friends and family of individuals navigating eating disorder recovery. Facilitated by Authenticity Recovery’s Clinical Director, Justyne Ortquist, LPC, this group blends practical education with meaningful connection. Together, we explore the realities of eating disorders, deepen understanding of the recovery process, and build tools to support your loved one in ways that are both effective and sustainable. Through a blend of education and discussion, you’ll gain practical strategies to support your loved one with greater confidence and clarity. We also create space to explore your own experience; because supporting someone else can be challenging, emotional, and at times overwhelming. Come to learn, connect with others who understand, ask questions, feel heard, and to be reminded that you are not in this alone.
Meets every other Thursday 5:30pm-7pm
